Soul Water Sauna
Soul Water Sauna Granton is bringing wood-fired sauna to the Granton shoreline. Relax and unwind in beautiful Siberian Cedar saunas, take refreshing dips in the cold plunge pool between sauna sessions, and gather around cozy fire pits, all against the picturesque backdrop of The Firth of Forth. The location offers the perfect spot to catch a breathtaking sunrise or sunset.
At Soul Water Sauna, the focus is on slowing down and being present: no social media, no timers – just the warmth of the sauna, the sound of the fire, and the nearby waves on the shore.
Sauna FAQs
Do I need to prebook?
Sauna seats book up very quickly, so we would advise booking in advance. There may be some seats available on the day, but this isn't guaranteed.
How much does it cost?
A seat in our community sauna starts at £14.50 for a 65 minute session to £21 for a 95 minute session. We also offer private bookings which range start at £110 for private use of one of our saunas.
How long is a session?
We have two sessions at either 65 minutes or 95 minutes.
How many sauna are there and how many people at a time?
We have two Siberian cedar saunas at Granton, Big Bear and Little Bear. Big Bear holds up to 18 people and Little Bear up to 8. You will either be assigned at booking a particular sauna, or you may be able to flow between the two depending on if there are private bookings that day.
Are there changing facilities?
Yes, we have some outdoor changing stalls, hooks and lockers. We recommend in order to get the most out of your experience at SWS to arrive as ready as possible, maybe with your swimwear already on underneath your clothing. Come in comfy clothes to allow for a quick change, this way you also maximise your sauna time. Please travel light, and if possible come ready to sauna!
What do I need to bring?
Swimwear and two towels. One to sit on for hygiene reasons and another to dry yourself off.
Plenty of water to rehydrate - you’re going to lose a lot of water through sweating, so ensure you replenish.
Warm clothing to put on after your sauna. Chances are you’ll be lovely and cosy but on winter days you might feel the chill after leaving the sauna.
Flip-flops and a swimrobe or even dressing gown if you wish, these are nice to pop on between sauna rounds.
